College Council
The School Eduction Act 1999 requires all Government Schools to form a School Council representative of parents, members of the general community, staff of the school and students of the school if they are 15, or will turn 15 during the year.
Since 2001 Mandurah Senior College has had a very hard working and supportive College Council. The College Council has established a set of principles and guidelines to enable all members of the College's community to contribute to the operation of the College. The guidelines identify positions on the College Council as two parent representatives, one teaching and one non-teaching staff member representatives, two student representatives and up to four general community representatives. To fulfil the College's requirements under the Act nominations for the two parent positions will be called.
Parents wishing to nominate for College Council should contact the College to obtain a nomination form. On completion the form can be forwarded to the Principal, Mandurah Senior College, PO Box 684, Mandurah, WA, 6210, marked "Confidential, College Council Nomination".
It is a challenge to go from Year 10 into such an environment. We recognise this and that is why we have confidence in the team of teachers at the College. Parents are invited to contact their son/daughter's advocate teacher directly to discuss any matter or issue you may have. It is MSC's policy for staff to contact parents by telephone if there are any issues that may need discussion.
Parents are warmly invited to be part of MSC's organisation, planning and management. If you would like to contribute please contact the College on 9583 7373.
